Allison Brown Taylor is currently teaching Special Education at Deep Creek Middle School. She still lives in Deep Creek Shores and enjoys walking to work everyday! She and Sonny Taylor (c/o 1991) have two sons, Hayden Elliott, born April 20, 2006, and Trent Matthew, born June 13, 2007. Trent was born with a birth defect called Craniosynostosis but recently had surgery to correct it. He is doing amazing well. She would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes! Patricia (Martin) Shackleford went into the Navy after graduation and separated as a Petty Officer First Class after 8 years of services. She lives in Southeast Kentucky with her husband of 7 years. She has 3 children, Kristin Rhodes 12, Billy Shackleford 6 and Joseph Shackleford 3. Inspired by her son, Billy, she works to increase acceptance of autism. She will begin attending college in the Spring 2008 semester to work towards a degree in education.

I just married my wonderful new husband, C.B. Harris on July 27, 2007. We have a precious 2 month old girl, Breanna Renee. She was born June 15, 2007, weighed: 9 lbs 6.4 oz and was 19 3/4" long. Other kids are: Sara Harris who is 11, Andrew Harris who is 8 and Branden Patterson who is 3 1/2. We all are doing well. I would love to hear from my old time school friends. I wanted to let everyone now that my daughter Ashleigh is now 911yrs. old is now @ Deep Creek Middle School. In July of 2002 I had the gastric bypass and I have lost 200 pounds. I feel great!!! It's been over 4 years since I had the surgery and I have managed to keep off the 200 pounds I lost afterwards.

I married Vernon L. Mayfield (also a 1994 graduate of Deep Creek) in 1998. We have a son named Verrell who is 6 and my daughter Akira is 13. We have been married for 7 years in October. We purchased 2 acres of land in Newsoms, VA, and we are now going through the process of having our house built. I’m so excited! Vernon was in the military, but now works for KBR/Haliburton in Afghanistan. I hope all is well with everyone. Take care!!!!!!
Kalena Mitchell - Mayfield

Hey to all!!! Things here are GREAT!!!! Since all of you who attended the reunion saw me waddle around pregnant with child # 3, I thought I'd letcha ya'll know I gave birth to kiddo #4 this past January!!! (I need 2 stop that!!!) I've now got 2 boys: (Skyler, 5 & 1/2 years & Fisher, the one who y'all saw baking, who is now 21months) and 2 girls (Abriel, 4 years & Peyzli, who'll be 8 months on the 5th!!!). I am still employed @ NNSY as an electrician, and I should graduate the apprenticeship next year!!!! I am in the process of trying to buy a house in Churchland out in P-town.... After graduating from Duke in 1998, I went on to complete my MD from UVA in 2002. Since then, I have been working toward completing my training as a Radiologist at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. In the meantime, I've been living it up with my wife of almost 2 years--Amneet Virk Dulai. My parents still live in good old Oak Manor and we try to make it down there a couple of times a year. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it down for the recent reunion, but look forward to the next!

Hey guys!!! Life is good here in Tennessee!! Just celebrated my 11th wedding anniversary to my wonderful husband Steve. We have 3 crazy kids...Storm is 9, Stone is 6 and Chyenne is 3!!! They're definitely keeping us busy between football and four-wheelers!!! I'm still a stylist, but I decided to close down my business last year and go in with some good friends of mine, in a bigger salon. Sooo much less stressful. Anyways, I'm hoping to come in for a visit this summer, would love to get together with my old friends!!! E-mail me anytime!!!

Congratulations to Rob & Malissa Davenport on the birth of their newest daughter Kayla on July 30, 2005.

Although I wanted the Navy to be my career, becoming a single mother changed my path. I went to Tidewater Tech and became a certified medical assistant. The medical field was never in my plans, but neither was becoming a single mom! I work for an OB/GYN in Hampton and love my job. I hope to return to college to become either a Labor and Delivery RN or a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I am still a single mother, but am in a serious relationship. His career though, might determine how long I remain in the Hampton Roads area. For now, I'm in Hampton and loving it. I still keep in touch with my best friend, Jenny Page (class of 1993), who lives in West Virginia now.

Jeremy Rogers is currently happily married to Sharyn Mendoza from Norfolk. We currently have no children and live in Richmond, VA. I work for Century Concrete, as head of Richmond Field Engineering. I have worked on a variety of projects including the I-895 bridge, Short Pump Mall, as well as the Stoney Point Fashion Park Mall to name a few.

Sara Jane Kramer currently lives in Dallas, TX. She went to the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before transferring to the Art Institute of Dallas majoring in Computer Animation. She is currently working at DNA Productions in Dallas on the Jimmy Neutron TV show that airs on Nickelodeon.

I, Amber Roberson, am engaged to Nate Lockhart. We just bought a home in Deep Creek and will be getting married in May. We do not have any children yet. I am a Juvenile Probation Officer and he will receive his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering this December. Hope everyone is doing well!

Jennifer Smith married Brett Ayers in 1997. She graduated from Washington Bible College in 1998. They live in Lanham Maryland, where Brett serves as the Assoc. Pastor of their church. Jennifer is a stay-at-home wife and a STAMPIN' UP! Demonstrator.

Demetra Jonita Floyd is single, never been married and has no children. She went to school to be a medical Assistant and is now working as one for the military.

Elizabeth Collier married Bobby Scott Jr. (Class of 1996) on December 16, 2000 and on December 23, 2003 Elizabeth gave birth to their son Bobby Scott III.

Adrienne Turner Nadeau has been married to Joseph Nadeau for 2 years now and they are expecting a baby girl in January 2004. She works at Chesapeake Pediatrics and still live in Deep Creek. She hasn't been in touch with many people from school, so she looks forward to hearing from some of you!

Mike Abrahamsen graduated from Geneva College in 1999 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works for Eaton / Cutler-Hammer as a Mechanical design engineer. His work took me to Fayetteville NC where I met and married Amy Rose Abrahamsen
on Sept. 30th 2000. They have two kids; daughter, Mackinley (5yrs old) & son Ethan (2yrs old). They currently live in Asheville, NC and return to Deep Creek once or twice a year to visit the rest of the Abrahamsen family.

I married Neal Waddell on July 21, 2001. I graduated from Va Tech with a BS in Biology and am now living in Richmond, VA where I am working as a RN at MCV on the Mother/Infant Unit. In December 2003, I will complete my Masters and become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I am finally looking forward to getting out of school!!
Melissa Roark Waddell

I am currently living with my wife, Melissa Roark Waddell in Richmond, VA. I graduated Va Tech in 1998 with a BS in Accounting/Information Systems. I am currently working for HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) in the Accounting department as a software engineer. Both Melissa's family and my family still live in Deep Creek and we make trips down there often.

Lisa Vexler had a son, Kadin Lawrence McCants, on September 14, 2002. She also completed her Ed.S. in May 2002 and is currently working as a School Psychologist for Portsmouth City Schools.

Chad Robins married Salena Lynn Anton on October 7, 2000. They have a son, Michael "Rayce" Robins born April 9, 2002 They are currently living in Richmond, VA Chad is urrently working at Capital One as a Senior Financial Analyst and at Mechanicsville UMC as a Youth Minister

Rhonda Harrell has one daughter Adaline. She lives in Deep Creek with her boyfriend Tony Holbert and his 2 children.

Denise Pope Hassell is currently living in North Carolina with her fiancé and 2 beautiful children.

Shannon Henry got married in May 1999 to Geoff Filer of VA Beach. Baby Jackson was born March 14, 2003.

Sara Schuse got married, Valentines Day 2003. Sara and her new husband Brian Ogle welcomed their 2nd child, Jagger Dylan into the world on 3-27. He weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz. Jagger has a big sister named Jordan who has been a wonderful to him.
