I currently work for SECEP in the alternative education program. Also, I'm still coaching varsity football at our beloved Deep Creek High School. In the off-season, I personally train athletes. Still married, and my boys, Malachi(11), Emanuel(7), and Jeremiah(5) are getting more mature by the minute.

Toya Briggs has been in the Air Force for 14 years. She graduated from Park University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Psychology and currently works in the Mental Health Clinic on Langley AFB in Hampton VA. She lives in Suffolk with her husband of 12 years (Marcus Moore) and their two daughters, Maia (age 6) and Angela (age 2).

I just wanted to say hi to my fellow classmates and let everyone know life is good here in Currituck. My husband Neel Smith (c/o 1991) and I have two beautiful daughters Hannah age 6 and Courtney age 5, who just started kindergarten. We have been living in Currituck now for the past ten years and is loving it..close to the beach. Hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you soon.

Hello again fellow classmates! I just wanted to update my info. since it's been about two years since I last posted. I no longer teach for Chesapeake Public Schools, I am a Firefighter/EMT with Frederick County, Maryland, and I have my own landscaping business that I do on the side. I live in Waynesboro, PA with my wife Katie of 10 years this August. Katie is still teaching, and working for Frederick as well. We are expecting our first baby around August 19, and it looks, from the ultrasounds, like it will be a girl. Katie and I just had a house built in December, 06, are still getting settled in. It's really nice up here in PA. We live in the mountains, and see deer almost daily. Hay all! Just want to chime in and let everyone know what has been going on with my little part of the world. I will start with my boys, William is now 8 and Garrison is 3. William is doing great with his school and it looks like he will be starting to play soccer this year. Garrison has on the other hand been giving us some scares the past few months. He was in the hospital from the 21^st of December to the 2^nd of January with a respitory virus which almost took him from us. He came home and was sent back two weeks later for another weeks stay with the flu. Now he will be going in on the 1^st of May to have his tonsils removed and tubes put into his ears to help to counter some of the problems that he has been having. But for now he is doing great and acting just the way a three year old should (causing trouble and getting into everything). As for Colleen and I we are both doing fine. Colleen has just finished her schooling to become a Medical Assistant and is just trying to find a job now. As for me I am just hoping to not have to deploy this winter again, just waiting out the fact that my unit here will be phased out sometime in the next year and I am hoping to be able to move back east and get a little closer to home at least for a little while.

Congratulations to T.P. and Missy Guthrie MacBride on the birth of their second child. Baby Jackson was born on August 8, 2006 and Katie loves being his big sister.

Since graduating from Deep Creek in ’93 I attended Livingstone College (Salisbury NC) and received my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 1998. From there I went to play professional basketball in Buenos Aires, South America (99-2001) then with the world famous Harlem Globetrotters (2001-2003). I currently reside in Charlotte, NC working as a client consultant with Bank of America. I am not married and have no kids. I also have found time to learn how to play the piano to the point that I play in a band named the “Aphrojazziacs”. We are doing big things here in the Queen City and hope anyone who can keep in touch….b/c it is about to be BANANAS!! Hope all of my class mates are doing well!!. We live in Newport News, VA and my husband and I (Larry Ames class of '93) have been married for 11 years. We got married shortly after graduation. We have five children, Jazmine (11), Talia (10), Aliyah (6), Naayah (5), and Jabriel (4). I spent 8 years in the military and now employed by Northrop Grumman as a LAN Technician. After spending 10 years in the Coast Guard, Larry is also a LAN Technician for Communication Technologies. I wish everyone well and hope to hear from you soon!

I graduated from East Carolina University Dec. 1997, added teaching certificate at University of NC@ Wilmington in 99. Married in June of 99. Ben and I had a child, Matthew Benjamin Miller in September 2003. We live in Kill Devil Hills, NC. I work for Dare County Schools, with preschool age children who have special needs. Ben has his own business, "Bighouse Design" and that sums it up.......we just enjoy a laid back lifestyle that allows us to spend lots of QT together because man time is flying right on by.......................

Mary Carney Richards and her husband Dallas live in Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated from St. Andrews College in 1997 with a B.A. in Communications and then received a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from Virginia Tech in 1999.

I moved to New York in 1995 to start a career as a flight attendant with American Airlines. I met my husband, Greg Prather on a flight and transferred to Miami, Florida. We currently live just north of Ft. Lauderdale and have two children, Ethan 5 and Matt 4. I am on leave of absence to stay home with the boys. My husband owns and operates Oceans Marine Dredging Inc., and has been working hard to only fly with American for fun and enough to keep his qualifications current. I have to say that my life definitely turned out to be far more than I ever imagined especially when my mother and I were pregnant at the same time. Ethan has an uncle 4 months older than he is.
Suzanne Glazner Prather

Corey Staten currently resides in Norfolk, VA with his wife LaQuita Waldo (now Staten). Despite losing his sight in 1994, Corey has graduated from Old Dominion University and is pursuing a graduate degree en route to his Ph.D. in Cultural Communication. Currently, he works as a free lance PR specialist for Taiwo Soaps and Lotions as well as Elemental Renaissance. LaQuita is a private duty LPN and surgical nurse. LaQuita and Corey are also on the performance roster for Young Audiences of Virginia which is an agency that contracts their African drumming and storytelling performances with museums, schools, libraries, etc. Corey has also written his first stage-play, "Roots of the Withered Tree," which made its debut at the Chrysler Museum Performance Arts theater in December of 2002. The play run at Willett Hall in February of 2004 before it went out on a road tour.

Latoya Lee is not married (Saved, Single, and Satisfied) and does not have any children. She graduated in 1998 with her B.A. Degree in Sociology/ Criminal Justice from Norfolk State University. She completed courses in 2000 as a certified Private Investigator.
She has been working as a Children's Counselor at Tidewater Detention Home in Chesapeake for 5 years. She will have her Master's Degree in Urban Affairs from Norfolk State University 2004. She hopes to reside very soon in the Durham/Charlotte area of North Carolina with a career in the Juvenile Justice field.

Andi Poe received her undergraduate degree from Ferrum College and her Masters degree from Old Dominion University. She currently teaches second grade in Virginia Beach and lives in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake.

Melissa Guthrie MacBride graduate from Radford University in 1998 with a BSW and is currently employed with the state of North Carolina as a child support agent. She married T.P. MacBride (class of 92) in January of 2002. They have a daughter, Katie, who was born on February 27, 2003. They currently reside on Lake Gaston in North Carolina.

Alisa Sonney Wilkes currently lives in Maryville, TN with her husband, Greg, and their four children: Darin, 8; Madison, 7; Jordan, 5; and Lauren Rose, 4. She is currently pursuing her bachelors degree in legal studies and is looking forward to going to law school and working as an attorney. She is a huge Tennessee Vols Football fan and Lady Vols Basketball fan and enjoys going to their games. She is also very involved in politics and does a lot of volunteer work for local and national republican politicians. Her husband is a Financial Analyst for Alcoa, Inc.

Anton Chavis is married & living in Gulfport, MS working as a X-Ray Tech. Anton is currently attending The University of Southern Mississippi to further is education.

Katrina Walters resides in New York with her husband, Anthony Mele. They were married in September 2001. She graduated from Cornell University in 1997 and moved to New York City. She is currently a Vice President at Sanderson Asset Management, an investment bank.

Susan Harrell (Cain) is currently living in Deep Creek with her husband and two children. Kyle is 8 and attends 3rd. grade at Deep Creek Elem. Emma was just born June 28, 2003. Susan graduated Norfolk State University in 1998 with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and again in 2000 with her Masters in Social Work. She is currently working in Portsmouth as the Supervisor of the Healthy Families Program.

Heather Fager married Daren Bolac (from Great Bridge) on May 6, 2000. They had a baby girl (Ashlyn Elizabeth) on August 8, 2003.

Latavia Washington moved back from Northern VA in 1999 and now reside back in Camelot in Chesapeake, VA. She has a son and his name is Christopher D. Washington he is 6 years old and in the 1st grade. I have not yet married. She is on the planning committee for the upcoming 93' class reunion and looks very forward to seeing all of her fellow classmates.

Kelly Garcia married Randy Smith on April 6, 2002 and she recently gave birth to their son, Evan, on May 20, 2003. She had been working at Hope House Foundation in Norfolk as a Service Coordinator for the past 5 years, but has recently accepted a new position as the Case Manager with the City of Portsmouth.

Ryan Gentry got married 05/20/2000 to Danielle Macias. They have a son, Noah Ryan (Born 7/02/2002) Ryan is in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Cristy Eubanks has been married David Williams for 8 years. They have a 7 year old son named Andrew Donivan (named after Jeff Pierce and her Dad), and a 4yr old daughter named Tyler Renee. Christy is a mortgage banker.

Life is going good. I am on the west coast now and it is o.k. I plan to move back to New York before the year is up. I have 2 beautiful boys and a wonderful husband.

Holly Barlow is married to William Joesph (B.J.) Schaffer II. Together they have a 3 year old son named Noah Dawson and a little girl whom just recently turned one named Naomi Grace.

Billy Gargaro lives in Portsmouth and is working as a Coordinator of Youth Ministry for a local church.

Jodi Hardy Geary lives in Deep Creek with her husband, Jay, and two daughters: Sydney Michelle, 4, and Casey Elizabeth, 8 months. She works for Virginia Beach City Public Schools as a Federal Program Analyst.

Brian D. Carlsen was deployed to Kuwait (and now in Iraq) in January of this year. He is a
reservist and serves in the US Marine Corps. He and his wife Griselda Reboja Carlsen, class of 1994, had their first baby on December 24, 2002. They had a baby girl who they named Briana Cosette Carlsen.

Tiffany Hinton lives in Northern Virginia and works in Washington DC as a health lobbyist.

Keisha Gordon is married to Shawn Porter(91). They have two children, Shawn Porter Jr. and Kai Porter.

Jenny King moved back home to Missouri in 1994. She married Scott Shoemake in '97. They had their first son, Christian, in '98 and their second son, Brennon, in '99. They are now in the process of building a house and Jenny recently partnered with her mother in her retail business. She is planning to open a store shortly after they move and get settled.
