Thanks to all that helped and attended our reunion. It
was a great success!! We missed all that could not attend.
Hello everyone, yes still here in Deep Creek and loving it. I have been married
to Joe for 7 years. I have one son, Chris Farley and 3 step children Shannon,
Brandon, Brooke and two step grand children, Matt and Cameron. Chris (David
Farley's son) is a tattoo artist in Elizabeth City and doing great. Shannon just
moved to Maryland, and Brooke and Brandon attend Grassfield high.

Sheryl Lockamy Turner
I graduated from
East Carolina University. I am currently in the United States Marine Corps and
have been for the last 25 years. I enlisted in the military on 28 June 1982 and
plan to retire on 1 Mar 08.
Joseph Jasper Ramsey Jr
In 2002, I married JD Hay, an airline pilot with
American Airlines and originally from MA. He came with 3 wonderful
children to add to my own 2 beautiful daughters. We have Amanda 24,
Sarah 21, Johnny 18, Elizabeth 18 and Jamie 10. We have enjoyed
traveling extensively....frequenting Paris, Ireland, Puerto Rico and
recently, my dream of visiting Liverpool England came true...complete
with a visit to the famed Cavern Club where the Beatles played 292
times! It's now 2007, and a great new year for the Clan Hay. We are
selling our beautifully restored 104 year old, 4000 sq ft Victorian and
realizing our dream of living on a boat! We recently purchased a
50' boat and will reside in a Hampton marina during the school year and
head off wherever during the summer. With 4 children in college
and living in their own apartments, we have only 1 excited child left
to enjoy this grand adventure with us. We'll let you know how it goes
at the reunion this year....25? Wow! I've been here and there running
marinas, owning my own boat-related business, and driving test boats for
Volvo Penta. I semi-retired from the boating industry to take care of
my new family for a few years. Getting back into the groove
now....you will see "Underway with Capt. Sandie Hay" on
TV. debuting in
2008! Don't know about the rest of you...but I'm feeling younger
everyday! Look forward to seeing everyone this year!
Sandie Motes (Hay)
I am recently separated from David Kelley (Class of 81) after almost 24 years of
marriage. We have 2 children, Aaron, 22, attends ODU and coaches
football at Tallwood HS, and Rebecca, 20, mother of our first granddaughter, 1
yo Selena, and is due with her 2nd in March 2007. That makes me Nana
Anna! David is living in Norfolk and owns his own towing service.
Anna Barringer Kelley
I am now a member of the NANA CLUB!! My daughter had a baby girl on March
14, 2006. It is wonderful being a Nana, I love it!
Kimberly Powell
I have been employed at the Department
of Motor Vehicles for 15 years. Assistant to the District Manager. I have
two children: Jessica Farley, 21, currently in her 3rd year at James Madison
University. Wesley Farley, 23, still trying to find a path....currently
working in data communication.
Suzanne Scott Chappell
I have been married to Charles
"P-nut" (class of 84) for 12 years. We reside in Portsmouth, VA and
between the two of us three wonderful kids. Christopher, 22 now serving in the
US Air Force. Amber, 20 married and mother to our first grandchild
Chase. Julia, 19 now serving in the US Army.

Kriss Truelove Sr.
CHESAPEAKE - Kriss L. Truelove Sr., 43, died Aug. 11, 2007, in Gladwin,
Mich., after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for nine months. Born in
Detroit, Dec. 17, 1963, to John “Jack” and Elizabeth (Roberts) “Arlene”
Truelove, he was owner/operator of Truelove Tire in Chesapeake from 1994 until
his retirement in 2006. His parents, Jack and Arlene, started the business in
Chesapeake before retiring to Gladwin in 1994 when Kriss and his brothers took
over the successful business.
He spent his first 11 years in Hazel Park, Mich., allowing him to visit
Gladwin County most of his life. He resided in Chesapeake at the time of his
passing. Kriss’s greatest love of all was his children, but he also loved all
outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Lee Truelove; daughters, Jennifer
Lee and Jacklyn E. Truelove; son, Kriss L. Truelove Jr., all of Chesapeake;
parents, John “Jack” and Elizabeth “Arlene” Truelove of Gladwin; father-in-law,
Cornelius E. Lee of Gainesville, Fla.; brothers, John R. and Trudy Truelove of
Chesapeake and Charles L. Truelove of Gladwin; brother-in-law, John Lee of
Gainesville; several nieces and cousins; and grandmother, Mary Ellen Roberts of
Hazel Park. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Concetta Lee; and
grandfather, Kenneth R. Roberts.
A funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Gladwin, with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery, Gladwin. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. in Hall-Kokotovich
Funeral Home, Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family.
